Fitness Programmes

As well as being a qualified Sports Therapist, Tom is also a qualified Fitness Instructor and is recognised at REPs level 2. As well as being able to help people get back from injury to full fitness, Tom is now able to help you achieve your fitness goals, whether it be wanting to lose weight, increase muscle mass, body shape or general fitness or just training for an event.

How it works
You will have a fitness assessment with Tom, in this appointment Tom will ask you some questions such as what are your fitness goals and when you want to achieve them by. After this, Tom will measure your weight, height, blood pressure and other physical measurements such as your waist. Once this has been completed, Tom will email you a detailed fitness programme designed just for you, meaning it will fit in with your private life, working life and social life as well as some nutritional advice. Tom will then see you again four weeks later to re-assess your fitness to see the improvements you have made over the past month before designing you another programme to do for the next four weeks.

There are several benefits to undergoing regular physical exercise. These are:

• Reduced risk of certain cancers (colon and breast cancer)
• Reduced risk of pre-mature death
• Reduced risk of arthritis
• Reduced risk of hip fractures in the elderly
• Reduced risk of depression and dementia
• Decrease in blood pressure
